For the past 15 years or so, I've worked in the outdoor and fly fishing industries. I've held many a position, from operations manager to manufacturer's sales rep. to store manager to fly fishing guide, and most everything in between. So it's a pleasure to be hanging out with my friends from Rep Your Water (located in Erie, CO) for their annual Bash for Boulder Creek on Sept. 5.
I've not been to one yet, so I can't attest to the awesomeness that this event will certainly hold. But, c'mon...check out the sponsors: You've got Montana Fly Company, Front Range Anglers, Umpqua, YETI, Avery Brewing, and Earl Todd Barbecue just to name a few. JUST A FEW. You've got live music, beer, cocktails, freakin' door prizes, absolutely incredible barbecue, a silent auction, screamin' deals on stuff, and you're doing all this for what? I'll tell you what for, friend; to help the Boulder Fly Casters...who in turn help conserve Boulder Creek. I fished Boulder Creek this morning with my boy, Hank Earl Todd. We caught four trout. He's two. So, yeah. It's gonna be a swell time, I'm pretty sure.
I'm gonna be there. I'm going to be slinging pulled pork sliders and portobellos with sweet & tangy coleslaw. You want that portobello on a sweet Hawaiian roll with slaw, pickles, & onions? I can make that happen. Know what else? Sausage. Indeed, I'll have fun bites of ETB Action Sausage, which, if you're unfamiliar, are impregnated with jalapeno, garlic, and sharp cheddar cheese. It pairs well with being cool.
The Rep Your Water gang is great. If you can possibly make to this shindig, do so. If you can't...if you live Acron, Ohio or someshit, then just check out their website and please support their business. Great gang, great company, great products, and it's bound to be a great party.
Thanks for reading. And thanks for supporting fun, small, real, awesome companies. We greatly appreciate it.
Hope to see you there. Have some pork.
I am Earl. And I cook barbecue.
